Beer & Balsamic Braised Short Ribs

In a frying pan, brown the short ribs on all sides in olive oil. Remove and place in roasting pan or slow cooker. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and golden. Add balsamic and tomato paste. Pour over short ribs. Add beer and beef stock to cover meat. For oven method: cover with foil and cook at 350F for 3 hours. For slow cooker: cook on low 6-8 hours.

Ingredients

2-3 lbs trimmed beef short ribs

2 T of The Olive Bin's Garlic Olive Oil

1 large onion, chopped

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/3 C of The Olive Bin's Espresso Dark Balsamic Vinegar

2 T tomato paste

2 C dark stout-style dark beer

4-6 C beef stock
